Keep Me In Your Prayers

We are 13 days into this new year and I am just now sitting down to write about it.

That's pretty pathetic.

I had a post all written up, all about what this year holds for us, but somehow I didn't get to finishing it and now time has passed and there is even more to say..

So let's just leave it with the fact that this year will be a big one for us and you should just keep reading along to hear all about it.

Let's start with the fact that California was amazing.

It was so good to see our families and be able to spend more than a few days with them.

We are terrible at taking pictures, so just trust me, we had fun.

We ate at all our favorite places.

We even went back to the bench where Rob proposed to me... And yes, our carvings are still there.

It was just a nice breather.

Christmas Eve and Day were spent with my family.

On Christmas Eve we always have a big party with family that live in the area.

It always consists of an incredible meal.

You should have tried the potatoes this year.. oh my goodness... the mushroom gravy... the garlic.. wow.

I want some right now.

And you cannot have Christmas Eve without our annual "Gag Gift" party.

I honestly don't know what sparked this, but my Husband wanted so badly this year to have the best present there.

He kept throwing ideas out there, usually sparking my rolling eyes to be honest..

But then he had one that actually wasn't all that bad.

It started as a gag gift... But I honestly think this man has found his new hobby...

Yes, you are seeing this right..

He bedazzled Super Man underwear.

And he loved every min. of it!

For being a big joke at first, we were all extremely impressed with his intricate detail..

Just look at the even spacing between gems..

I never knew he had it in him.

They were certainly the hit at the party.

And they were certainly the best gift there.

In fact, with my Dad and Grandpa in the crowd.. Business ventures started becoming the topic of conversation.

Rob has already looked into the cost of gems in bulk and who knows.. you just might see these things on Etsy if we aren't careful.

"Victor Secrets" has been on the drawing table.

All I know is that my Dad was disappointed that they were not his size.. So maybe he would be the first customer?

And with Valentine's Day coming up...?

I cannot believe I am even saying this, but hey... whatever brings in the dough... right!?

And this is how we brought in the New Year.

XBOX 360 Kinetic family tournament.

Please just look at my little brothers legs.

He certainly brought his A Game... and man did that night give us a few laughs.

You should see my Mother play Volleyball.

And then it was back to home we went, where this sleepy head was in for the rude awakening of an alarm clock..

I honestly think we set our alarm clock once while on vacation.

Last week was hard, this week we are getting our routine straightened out, and I have a feeling this semester will be even better than the last one.

Only two more. Only two more. Only two more..

Rob is working his butt off for our little family and I honestly could not be happier.

In fact...

This semester he even gets to play Teacher to a classroom of 6th graders.

Its almost like a "prep course" for student teaching in a way.

He has to dress in his best, he will be doing lesson plans...

He did his first on how magnets work and how snowflakes are formed.

The second day the students were told to chose one of the "adults" in the room to be in their group and he was so excited that two of the little girls chose him.

He must be doing something right.

With him having to dress to impress, this weekend we will be on the hunt for more dress shirts for the poor guy.

Teaching attire.. It will be his life for the next billion years.

But we are just plugging along.

We are enduring the snow, loving our space heater, and trying to live a meatless life (wish us luck).

And yes, this baby is still in me and he needs to come out tomorrow please.

This is starting to get extremely uncomfortable and I have never peed so much in my life.

Keep me in your prayers.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I so wanted to see what bedazzled superman underwear looked like! Grandma told me all about them and I just couldn't picture them! I'm so impressed! Way to go, Rob!
