There Is Much To Be Grateful For

Well - I guess my whole "post every other day" thing was unrealistic!

This has been such a crazy first week.. And not because I now have two kids, but because of everything that's been happening.

I'll post more later about the big events surrounding the weekend, but I just wanted to get some pictures up of the wonderful visit we had yesterday.

Rob's family came to spend Memorial Day with us and to meet Little Miss Mazie for the first time.

We did some swimming, ate some food, did some talking..

And snuggled one cute little girl.
I'm sure some of you are curious as to my general thoughts on how things have been going with babies this close together.

You might laugh at me as you read this, however, I feel incredibly blessed.

This little guy loves his little sister.

For the most part he is pretty clueless.. Which, in a lot of respects, is actually a good thing.

But I know he at least knows she's human, and that she could possibly play in the near future.

He says good morning to his "Bay" every day.

He throws diapers away for me when his toys aren't holding his attention.

He tries to feed her grapes, but I guess she doesn't like them.

He draws lovingly on her arm, adding his own accessory to her wardrobe.

He waves at her when she's waving (or just stretching... But we won't tell him that).

He even rocks her bassinet with a sound similar to "aww."
I think out of everything to be fearful of in this situation, I was most fearful of how Ross would react to this new addition.

So far, I have nothing to be fearful of.

Maybe he remembers her from the previous life?

Maybe he knows he has an instant friend?

Or maybe he just looks at her precious little face and feels the special spirit newborns bring into the home.

Regardless, my cup runneth over.

I am counting my many blessings on an hourly basis these days.

There is much to be grateful for.
