I Wish I Could Just Hit Pause

 

Yesterday our Baby Boy turned One!

I honestly cannot believe how fast time goes.

I was actually kind of sad yesterday because I felt like he should still be that tiny little baby.

It seriously goes way too fast.

We celebrated with a simple party at the park.

And it was a perfect day for the park.

And a perfect place for a party.

And Ross loves the park, so it all worked out.

 

To top it all off, we had Grandpa's special ice cream.

Who needs entertainment when you've got cool smoke?

 

And of course, it couldn't be a one year old birthday without the demolition of a cake.

I was really hoping he would smash his face into it...

But, in true Ross fashion.. 

He just investigated it with that cute chubby pointer finger.

 

Then he tried to be adventurous, but didn't even seem to like the cake.

 

Slowly he warmed up to it..

 

But still, he just smashed it with his little fingers.

 

Our Baby Boy is One.

Good heavens.

 

And, as if the day wasn't already special...

Rob's diploma came in the mail!!

It's official!

 

After the party, we didn't waste any time letting him play with his new stuff.

He certainly enjoyed himself.

All in all, it was a great day for a day in the park.

But wow, he isn't allowed to grow up anymore.

I wish I could just hit pause.
