One Year Older

"One year older and wiser too... Happy Birthday (clap) to you!"

Yesterday seemed to escape me, and we had two birthdays in the family! I don't want to let them go unnoticed.. so..

A very Happy Birthday to my Father-in-law!

We were so happy that our cheesecake got there in time, at least for your birthday! Know that we were thinking of you, that we love you, and that when birthdays and celebrations come around.. we are sad to be away from home! Thank you for being such a great example and for the love & support you give to Rob & I. We hope you had a day full of spoiling, and that it was the perfect day to start the perfect year! One year older, and one year wiser.. Happy Birthday Chuck!

A Happy Birthday to my cute Brother!

I thought this was a good picture of you, you know, with that incredible scowl of yours! I'm going to laugh if you end up looking back at pictures wondering what the heck you were doing. Well, brother, I love you very much and it makes me sad that everyone keeps growing up. You guys are supposed to stay the same all the time so I don't miss out on anything, like the traditional CPK Birthday Dinner. I'm proud of who you are becoming, and I am proud to call you my brother. I hope you had a fun night, full of dancing and funness... I added the "ness" on the end of that to make it better. Just know that we love you, and that we were sad to miss out on a celebration.. I cant wait to see you soon so that we can embrace, stay up late, and catch up on some laughter. I miss you.

There seems to be millions of birthdays in March.. so Happy birthday to Aunt Nikki, Aunt Lara, Uncle Jordan.. and whoever else I might be forgetting! Phew! Note to self: March is already full, so have babies at another time.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other than birthdays, Rob & I have had nothing but a relaxing weekend. We went to the Temple again on Friday, so we are now 2 for 2... hopefully the record stays consistent. I cannot speak for Rob, but I know I have personally felt a difference this week in the way I have felt.

We are also on track with this new "lifestyle" for bathing suit season. We mentioned that to someone today and they looked at us like we were crazy.. I forgot bathing suit season doesn't really exist here. We went to the store last night, planned out two weeks worth of dinners, and are loving the slim-fast thing. I don't think I have ever gotten this much protein in my life.

We also joined the local gym this past Tuesday so we have been trying to work out every day, and so far have only missed two.. so hopefully this week is better.

It feels good. It feels really good to be back in the work-out mode. I know it makes us both feel better about ourselves, so this will be a nice journey.. and one that we are doing together. That is my favorite part.

So here is to a good week full of healthy eating, good work-out sessions, and perfect Temple attendance.

Wish us luck.
