Birthday Bash

Since moving here, Rob & I have been blessed to be surrounded with some pretty neat people. I think that's the best part of any new situation, whether its a school or a whole new state, it is just exciting to get to know some new faces. It is especially exciting to find that you completely enjoy the people you are getting to know.

The Dials and the Parkers seem to be our kindred friends. We seem to hang out with them at every chance we get. At first I thought they would think we were obsessed with them or something creepy like that, but thankfully its come out that they have all felt the same about us.

We laugh. We laugh a lot. We hang out and that seems to be all that we do, causing us to wonder what we even talked about in the first place. We are loud and we laugh and we have fun and it is incredibly refreshing. It's refreshing to just laugh, and we seem to be very good at it.

This past weekend Lindsay Parker had a birthday. Since we are friends now, soon to be best friends, we had to do something with her.

It was easy. We went to the movies, came back and had cake and laughed over probably nothing. It involved some you tube and some comedians and some jokes and some laughs. I really enjoyed the night and the opportunity to celebrate a friend. It always seems to bring people closer together in those situations, and I think thats exactly what it did.

It was simple. It was exciting and it was so much fun. We love our friends... so let's meet them...

Meet the Dial Family. Carly and I go way back and I feel like nothing has changed. I love that about her.  She is easy to get along with, loves a good laugh, says the funniest things with the funniest words, and I just love her. I was so excited when I found out she would be living up in this area because it would give us the chance to re-kindle our friendship, and re-kindle we have. Her husband was who we were worried about. We had heard funny things about him, and every thing we heard runs true. He does the best twang, very quick witted, and fits into the crowd perfectly. Carson compliments Carly perfectly as well, and we can certainly see why she fell in love with him. We are so grateful to have the Dials in our friend zone.

Here are the Parkers. Alex & Lindsay came into our lives randomly. I literally walked up to them, told them we wanted to get to know them, and invited them to a game night. I probably completely embarrassed myself, but they came anyways so I take that as a good sign. They have been a blast to have around. They have introduced us to new games, very addicting websites, and the do's and dont's of Rexburg. They make our church attendance more entertaining and meaningful because it is so nice to have great friends. They are both caring, very generous, and people we thoroughly enjoy having around us. We are so blessed to know the Parkers!

Friends are so important, especially being this far away from family and we are just so grateful to have these wonderful friends. They bring out the funny in us, and that is certainly something we enjoy. They make great company, and we have already been creating wonderful memories.

This makes me excited for whatever is to come in the near future, as long as these people are beside us.

Thank you friends. Thank you for making this transition easier for us. You have welcomed us with open arms to where this is starting to feel more like home, and we are liking this new place more and more. Thank you for all you do, all the fun times so far, and all the many fun times to come in the future.

Know that we are grateful for you and our door is always open. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, or just someone to laugh with, #105 is where you should be.

We Love You.
