Please Remind Me That This Is Funny

I honestly believe someone is trying to play some sick joke on me.

Here I am, 9 months pregnant, and honestly this baby could come any day..

I am being induced this Friday regardless, so by the end of the week we will most certainly be parents.

With that "due date" its almost like you can get everything done in time.. which is actually pretty nice.

One of those things I have been scrambling to get done is School.

School school school... stupid stupid school.

I have 3 more classes, two of which are just right there...

But the last year has been a complete joke.. and the last month has been even funnier.

Last year we moved out here to Idaho and I began the job search thing.

With us being in a small town it took awhile, and with the shock of the move and getting everything together, and making sure Rob was ok... There was a lot going on.

Just when I started to get back in the swing of school, I was called as the Relief Society President of my ward here.

Around that same time I got a job and learned that I would need to be certified in various tests, to be taken in Pocatello.. A town about 2 hours from here.

So my Saturdays for about two months were spent either studying for those or making that drive to take them.

All the while, Rob was in school extra full-time.. I was working pretty full-time.. By the time I got home and tended to that cute Husband.. there just weren't enough hours in the day.

So last July-ish I was going to get back into the swing of school, only to find out I needed 3 more classes than originally planned..

It just was getting more comical.

So I enrolled in 3 classes, and had another 4 at the time... I focused heavily on the additional 3, and could only focus on 1 of the other 4, just based off the time it all took.

Oh, and did I mention that in the midst of all this I was pregnant?

Yeah.. That made it really fun.

So then we get to the Holidays.. I had finished 4 classes and still had 3 to go so I just kept going..

I was into the pattern, I was getting so much done in a day with homework at the beginning of last month..

I was honestly making such good progress so that I could have 2 more done by the time this baby got here..

Then my computer decided to crash.

Yeah.. That was not as funny... seeing as the closest place to fix it is 3 hours away.

So Rob & I shared computers, I went to school with him to be at the library.. But obviously we couldn't do that for long, and with the honor code I had to actually be in jeans..

Jeans and 9 months pregnant?

Gross.

Last Saturday we made the trek to Salt Lake, thinking it would be better doing that before the Baby..

Sure enough, my hard-drive needed to be replaced... But we can't afford another computer so that wasn't that big of a deal.

They offered to ship it back when it was finished.

I just got my computer yesterday and honestly its like I just purchased a new one with how smooth it works.

The catch though?

They couldn't save anything.

I lost it all.

I had started to get over it when I went to do homework last night..

But then I realized my Word is gone..

Along with Excel, and powerpoint...

And do you think I have those Installation CD's still??

Of course not.. that would just make this too easy..

So here I am, with practically a new computer.. No Word to do homework.. No more pictures or anything.. And I am trying to find humor in all of this.

Someone is seriously trying to play some sick joke.

And what makes this even better?

There is a line in my patriarchal blessing that says, "I bless you with a continued desire to finish your education."

I guess I didn't read the fine print that said that continued desire would be extremely hard to muster.

So baby comes Friday at the latest and I have to figure out how I am going to get Word back without breaking the bank..

Continued Desire - I'm rolling my eyes at you right now.

Please remind me that this is funny.

Oh I am sorry! I know how you feel. Our computers have crashed 3 times. The first time we lost everything... our pictures from when we were dating, honeymoon and the fist 6 months of marriage. But we did find a good deal on microsoft office. They only give it to students so you will need a college email address

It is totally legit, we bought it. It is only $80 for everything

i don't have word either because I don't want to pay the money, but you can do your work in word processor and you can save it as a docx if you want it to be in word format or you can use a google doc. :)
