The Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend. I told you I was going to be productive, and I hope you didn't doubt me! Friday was spent getting Robs suit, and he is so incredibly good looking that finding something to look good on him wasn't hard. We spent about 3 hours in the mall, and we got everything including the socks! It fits him like a glove, with the pants needing to be hemmed just a smidge. He cleans up nicely, and since you cant see my dress beforehand, I should probably not post pictures of him. But trust me, you should come to the wedding just to see GQ himself!

Saturday I met the Brantingham side of the family, and I was blown away by how much alike they are to Robs dad. I could not stop laughing because seeing him with his brothers was like seeing him with his twins! I will tell you one thing though... Robs Dad, Chuck, has four brothers. Out of those four boys, they seemed to produce nothing but boys. In fact, throughout the entire get together they kept mentioning "The Brantingham Way" in reference to the mass production of boys within the family. So guess what... My chances of girls are slim. Let's cross our fingers! I need at least one for bows!

Trish & I (Robs sister-in-law).. I swear ashlynn likes me

We live in our own world

Robert & Chris (his cousin) 20 days apart

The whole gang... Chuck & his brothers, minus one

Sunday was productive as well because Rob met with a member of the Stake Presidency for the BYU-I application. I am so glad to be done with all that! Today I will fax over information, as well as mail a couple things and we are finally done! Please cross your fingers for us, because that would be the perfect situation.

Monday we spent with his family. We went to a beautiful campground and had a picnic, something they love to do. Then we hiked a little. The weather was perfect, and it made me want to go hiking more. It was so beautiful and peaceful, I definitely enjoyed myself and hope we can go again this weekend. They tell me there is a beautiful hike to a swimming hole!

This is what happens when you try to wrestle Robert

Hiking the back moutains of Santa Barbara. Take note of Robs awesome sweater.

I love Chad!

Hiking - it was beautiful

Our picnic - I dont think Rob is capable of normal faces

Didnt even know this was coming

Later that night we went to our picnic bench where he proposed to me. I was so sad we didn't bring something to carve our names into, but we did decide we would steal it for our home, whenever that comes. I loved just sitting with him and laughing and talking and reminiscing about things that have happened. One thing I keep re-playing over and over is how the heck we got to this place. I keep picturing our first encounter and laughing because I never knew he would be the man I marry. I'm so grateful for him and everything he brings into my life. Here's to us.

Jerry, Scott's dad, had three boys. Only one girl. His brother, Steven, had three boys, no girls. His sister, had two boys, one girl. The odds were in favor of boys. There are TEN girls and four boys on this side. God gives you what you get!

Wow, I can't believe I made it on your blog. I was so surprised to see a picture of myself on here. And Ashlynn does love you, she talks about you all the time.
