We had a really fun little vacation.
Salt Lake City is certainly not what I expected.
I had only been there during General Conference time, when the streets are packed and you are just focused on getting tickets or finding your seat.
I have walked around temple square maybe twice in my life so I was pleasantly surprised by how much the city had to offer.
We ate at the top of the Joseph Smith Building, something I have always wanted to do.
It was actually pretty good and the view was even better.

And to give an idea of how close we were to everything..
There is the Temple, and we stayed at the Plaza, literally right across the street.
When Rob wanted to meet for lunch at the Joseph Smith building I was getting ready for a little walk..
I was pretty disappointed when I turned out of the hotel and everything was seriously right there.
And our little man makes eating out so much easier now because he is fascinated with the highchair.
Though he is probably sometimes a disturbance since his squeals of delight can be heard miles away.
Thankfully he is so cute.
After lunch we dropped Rob off to do more research, and since everything was so close, Ross and I walked to the Gateway Mall.
The weather could not have been any better, and the city was so beautiful.
They have seriously done so much to make it clean, and pleasant, and..
I could seriously live in Salt Lake City and I never thought I would say that.
After a wonderful day, we hung out in the hotel and quickly figured out that our baby boy is growing up.
All he wants to do is either be on his tummy, or continually try to do so.
I guess Rob & I are Zoo people, because it seems like everywhere we go we always have to check out the local zoo.
It was beautiful weather so we got the stroller and thought we would be the only ones with that brilliant idea.
Wrong.
It was so crowded.
I thought that having a kid would make me more tolerant of children...
Let's just say that there were way too many kids at the Zoo.
I'm such a sucker for babies.
Ross seriously loves Zoos.
I thought it was funny that two chickens were eating with a gigantic turtle.
And then I also wanted to document the turtle that my parents swear we never had.
Maybe it will spark some memories of theirs or something.

And for those who don't believe in Dinosaurs, just go to the Utah Zoo.
It really was a fun day.
We finished it off with some In-N-Out, and a long drive home with a crying baby.
Unfortunately he started his crying even before we hit the Idaho border, and right after I was on the phone with my Mother, telling her how he had been so good.
I guess that serves me right.
But now we are back in Idaho and ready to finish out this next month or so we have left..
Gosh, I cannot believe it is coming so soon.
And no, I still haven't found us a place to live.
Don't rush me.

Thank you, now I don't have to blog about my trip because your trip to Salt Lake City was exactly the same as ours! I'm so bummed that our trips were a week apart though, it would have been fun to see you guys. We stayed at the Plaza hotel, and walked around temple square. We didn't venture to the zoo, but it looks like a lot of fun!
Isn't Salt Lake City darling?! I absolutely adore living up here. It's such a clean, pretty, fun little place. Glad you enjoyed your trip!
