Day Before School

Today was the last day of freedom for Rob. Tomorrow it's to the books he goes! Well.. me as well.. but that's besides the point. So, in preparation for the big day, at the big boy school, we decided to walk to campus to see how far it was, and to walk Rob through his entire schedule so he would know where his classrooms were.

We figured out that the campus really isn't that big, that you should certainly reserve books online because the lines are ridiculous, and that the buildings might as well be California weather because you are sweating like crazy within the first 2 seconds. So if anyone thinks they just can't stand another day without their California, just stand in any one of those campus buildings and you will most certainly feel right at home.

The walk really isn't that bad. The air is so crisp and fresh, but I've decided that it instantly freezes your boogers and thats why my nose has been hurting so bad.

We passed this gigantic snowman on the way and I just had to show you Camden! I've never seen one this big.. Idaho people know their snowmen!

With school tomorrow we decided to make the trek down to Idaho Falls for some shopping because we know we wont see that place for awhile. It was my turn to drive in the snow - for the VERY FIRST TIME! I look ridiculous in this picture, more like a grandma actually, but I am sure you can clearly see the fear on my face... and the so close to bursting into laughter face, you know, the nervous kind.

Rob just decided it was better that I get the hang of it with him in the car, rather than me doing it on my own. I completely agreed. I pulled out of our complex very slowly, made the left to the highway very slowly, then reached the highway and this is what we saw...

Probably the best driving conditions we have had all week. Do I have great luck, or do I have great luck?

Rob finally convinced me to become a member of the Sam's club society. I honestly didn't think it would be that great for two people, but there really are some good deals are certain things. We eat a lot of salad, and so that was a good steal. I love to bake, so the baking supplies were good finds. We wont be making those purchases for a very long time, so that part is definitely fun. We walked up and down each isle, just scoping out the place to see where we could save more and which we could do without.. But we couldn't help but laugh at this one..

Probably the largest thing of Tide I have ever seen in my life, and it is supposed to last about 180 loads. I can see how with people like the Duggar family, something like this would come in handy.. but really!? Someone can really do that much laundry? We couldn't stop laughing and were sort of tempted just to see how long we could have this gigantic monstrosity of Tide... And just think what someone would say if they found this in your cabinets. Classic. This Sam's Club card could be a bad thing. We will start experimenting like crazy. Just wait till you see how large their Flour packages are.

We tried to find Snorta while we were there, but failed miserably. We will be on the hunt for some good games though, because game nights are fun. While we were searching for the game, Rob started talking about Ferrets. He started saying about how they are legal here in Idaho, and how cool it would be to actually see one. Right next store happened to be a Petco, and even though I have vowed never to walk into one ever again, I just had to quiet this poor man... I honestly didn't think they would carry them.. but look who we found...

Expensive little suckers, but so gosh darn cute! Ian & Avery, you would love these guys!

We came home, I practiced my wonderful housewife skills and made very delicious stir-fry... And no mother, I did not add the roast. You were right as always.

We ate together, something we are really starting to enjoy. Its weird when its just the two of you and you are so used to having some sort of noise around you.. but its nice. Its actually really nice and just makes me enjoy my time with Rob so much more. We have always enjoyed talking, and this just encourages all sorts of conversation. I like what these dinners are creating.

So, school starts tomorrow. I know Rob is a little nervous, but also anxious to see what its like. I know he will just be fabulous because he is so smart and so ready for this next step!

We cut his hair again tonight, and he has to shave in the morning so there isn't an ounce of stubble.. Welcome to BYU!

I was going to say, I'm sure your mother has that big of detergent. And just you watch, someday you, too, will be buying the economy size soap!!!
