It is already Wednesday! I love when weeks go by fast because that just means I get to see Rob soon. I have been immersed in papers this week, just trying to finish as much schooling as possible before the wedding, all the while trying to work and save as much as possible as well. My thoughts, we cant be too prepared. I am just so proud of Rob, he has been working really hard both in school and with work. It is so interesting how fast things change when you have goals together, and I am just grateful to have someone by my side who is eager for that change when it benefits us as a couple.
Well, I told you I would update you on the festivities of Father's day. We decided it would be a good day to have our families meet. Rob and I had been talking about this for awhile, trying to arrange schedules between two large families, and it was getting a little complicated. We don't do complicated. We figured father's day would work because its a Sunday, there aren't any meetings, and its the perfect day to want to be with your whole family. Thankfully everyone agreed, so after church we packed up and headed to a park that was middle ground for most of us. I actually was super nervous, and Rob was a little bit too, mainly because it was our two worlds coming together. When you don't know what to expect, it is easy to worry. I felt like I would have to get people talking, continually being the entertainer. Thankfully all of my fears were false and it went better than we expected. Everyone got along, everyone talked with each other, and they even told funny stories about us which wasn't exactly what we wanted, but at least it was something they had in common. I was so happy to have my family meet the wonderful family Rob has, and Rob was equally excited to share my family with his. I was so glad we did it and so glad that it went as well as it did. We both are so lucky to come from incredible families, and here are some fun pictures of the day!
