Tribute

I have been trying to update every day to make sure I cover everything happening in my brain during this monumental experience. I have updated on all the tiny details of this wedding, as well as some fears of cleaning, so I think I've covered all bases up to this point. Today I have been thinking about this pivotal point, and many of my thoughts are still lingering since Monday. I feel like I have to say thank you, or pay tribute to those who have made powerful impressions on me, helping me to push forward. I thought a tribute to an individual was a very appropriate thing, and this incredible man keeps coming to mind..

Here's to my grandpa, for being such a great example to me. Here is to the many lessons he has taught me over the years, probably without even trying. Here is to his contagious laughter, those adorable rosy cheeks, and his ability to liven up a room whenever he enters. Here is to his astounding faith and his quiet strength that shows through when he is bearing his testimony. Here is to the many hugs he has given me to let me know I am not alone. Here is to all the talks, all the blessings, and all the guidance he has given me just through sharing his stories. Here is to his ability to fix and build just about anything, and I am sure he doesn't know how to build half of it in the beginning but he sure figures it out. Here is to the endless amounts of support over the years, and the excitement that arrives on his face when he sees me. Here is to his quirky personality and awesome wardrobe that will always remind me of what home is supposed to feel like. Here is to his ability to love and cherish those around him, always serving and teaching me how to help God's children. Here is to the lessons on tithing and the many blessings that come from that. Here is to the wonderful adventures that he is always willing to embark on. Here is to his commitment to make everyone around him happy. Here is to his his funny jokes that sometimes can be considered corny, but if they weren't they wouldn't be Grandpa. Here is to his incredible singing voice, and the numerous songs and poems that have passed through our family. Here's to you, wise Grandfather. You have taught me strength, and power, and love throughout my entire life. I look to you for guidance and you are always willing to share. I will always cherish your words and I will always cherish your experiences. I love you and am so grateful Heavenly Father has placed some as special as you in my life. He definitely knew exactly what I needed in a grandfather.
