Today marks the 100th post for the Brantinghams!!
I think that's pretty impressive, especially for us. I haven't really been good at blogging and then for some reason Idaho has brought the blogger out of me again. I guess its the thought of having our 1st year of marriage in writing. I love technology for that.
In honor of our 100th post I thought I would take a look back at how this whole blog came to be.
What I find super strange is the fact that this coming weekend, as in Tomorrow and Saturday, will be our 1 year anniversary of dating. Thats a big deal. I know marriage is a big deal, but dating is a big deal too.. serious dating that is..
Let's look back at everything this year has given us...
This is where it all started, a year ago this weekend. I don't think at the time we knew this picture would mean something... but its all we have from Big Bear. Thank you Big Bear.
Here is the first weekend that Rob met my family for real. There was when we came to dinner with us, but this was when we all really hung out.
See, they even got him into a game of basketball.
This was from the first picnic I had with the Brantingham family. I know this doesn't show much of the picnic because I think I was too nervous to take pictures. This is the only proof we have!
This is from when I first stayed at the Brantingham home.. The first time I went up to meet them, I stayed at my cousins place.. from that point on, I stayed with the Brantinghams. At least we can rest assured that we have been dorks from the beginning.
Another example. Case closed.
Our walks, the beach... We are so lucky to have both sets of parents living in the most beautiful areas. Our weekends were never boring.
He still makes me laugh.
It held Masks.
Our first road trip together to General Conference. That road trip was a scary thing for both of us.. We knew we would either be sick of each other afterward, or not be able to get enough of each other.. As you can see, it all worked out.
We counted coins for our engagement ring.. look at all those coins.. Carson and Max, it looks like we are even now.. Fuzzywiggs seems to have paid our debts.
Matching Body art.. We love each other that much.
And the drive down to meet his entire family, well, his Mom's entire family. That was a scary drive. Good thing Rob is funny, it helped ease my tension.
April was also when we watched my siblings for a weekend. I honestly don't remember where my parents went, but I think they did it on purpose.
The children behaved like angels. Note Camden's loving grip on Caelum's face. Just pure Angels.

May held a lot of big things for us. We got engaged in the beginning of the month, so I think the rest of the month became a blur because I was so excited.
This is actually from our Engagement night, a little before he actually proposed so you can tell Rob looks a bit weird. I might have just put the camera up, told him to smile, and flashed in his eyes before he would protest. I'm glad I did too or else we would have nothing to document this monumental occasion.
I got him his favorite snake from Fuzzywiggs. I'm so nice.
We spent mothers day with my family. We picnicked at the beach, it was beautiful just like Robert.
In June we took this random hilarious hike with my family. I wish you could've been there, nothing I say will do it justice.
Ate at Souplantation many times.. How I miss thee.
Attended Church, because we are spiritual... even though our Bishops probably didn't think so because we were going back and forth so much.
Took our Engagements.. No, this isn't the one we used. I just like it.
And this was the drive to a picnic on Father's Day where both families met for the first time.
There were no brawls, no food fights, good conversation.. It was a success.
July was full of Wedding planning Bliss. Between flowers, and everything else.. It seemed to go by pretty fast.
Oh, and Rob had a birthday. Rob is so handsome.
August was my Bridal Shower. My camera died right after this picture. There were so many people there to support me.. Infact, lets do that again! What a fun night!
School started in August, where Rob and I took all the same classes. Rob is a Tai Chi master. Just look at him.
My bachelorette Party was in September. I love these girls.
Then I had to move my stuff... I have a lot of stuff...
I got my endowments...
September 19th we got married. Now that is a day I would repeat in a heartbeat.
our Honeymoon..
Halloween.. The best we could put together last min.
Sold Rob's baby.. I think he is still in mourning.
We celebrated Thanksgiving; a joining of both families.
Caelum is really cute.
We decorated the Christmas Tree.
We celebrated Christmas Eve... Rob is so handsome.
And I think Caelum was just a little excited about Santa.
Almost got arrested at Petco.
And made the trek to Idaho.. where we have met some really great people.
All in all, I think this year has brought us some great experiences and some wonderful blessings. We have come a long way, giving new meaning to the phrase "what a difference a day makes." Put 365 of those days together and you get quite the whirlwind.
It is so fun to look back at the excitement we have had and the craziness of it all, and I am just so grateful that I was in the right place at the right time. Imagine what would have happened had I not gone to Big Bear on that ward trip, or if Rob hadn't come down to Orange County.
It is scary to think that this year could have been erased by one teeny tiny decision.
One Year later, one marriage later, many friendships formed, good food, good company, wonderful families....
What a difference a year makes.

honey, alot of the photos in the middle aren't showing...check them again because I want to see them!!
I'm not sure how to fix that because on my end they all show.. Maybe its the way your internet is loading.. Try clicking on them so they open in a seperate page?
on my computer at home they weren't showing too then i went on a different couple with different internet (at work) and they showed.
hahah odd. I am a genious at most things, but i am afraid my computer skills have taken me as far as they will go. i dont like to disappoint. forgive me.
they show now...maybe they were just too beautiful and it would have broken my computer!
hahah thats exactly it mom.. im sorry we are so good looking
Elyse- I found your blog! Yay- we can be blog buddies now. And I must say, you two make the most adorable couple!! :)
I agree about one little decision. Scott was the first one in his family to join a choir and we met at the Institute choir at the U. If he hadn't decided to try singing in high school we probably wouldn't have met.
oh, and I saw all the picture quite clearly the first time. I guess my computer is just used to beautiful people.
Yayyy becca!!! So happy you can join our blog world! haha dont make fun of me, ok?
and aunt nikki - of course your computer would be used to beautiful people, look at you!! haha it certainly runs in the family... dont be ashamed.
